Eugene E. Brown, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 29, for the alleged attack on Bridge Street, in the City of Poughkeepsie, said City of Poughkeepsie Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

According to Clark, the incident took place around 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, when a 67-year-old physically disabled resident of an apartment in the area answered her doorbell and was met by a man who said he was looking for someone.

The victim attempted to shut the door, but Brown allegedly lunged at the victim, pushed her down and fondles her as she screamed for help, Clark said.

Brown then left the area, but returned shortly after and repeated the attack, Clark added.

An investigation led officers to Brown, who was charged with sexually motivated burglary and forcible touching.

Brown was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
